Safety Protocols

The following protocols are currently in place to keep our congregants and visitors safe.

  •  Enter at East Entrance only.
  • Congregant and visitor check-in upon entering.
  • Mask optional.  NOTE:  Individuals who are not fully vaccinated should consider masking for one's own protection.  Anyone may wear a mask to his/her comfort level.
  • Hand sanitizer is available for use before and after service.
  • Use of pre-packaged communion.  St. John's has an "open table" and all are welcome to partake.
  • Please respect the social distancing of others if requested.
  • Offering plate will be placed at the sanctuary entrance for use before the service.
  • In  keeping with our commitment to safety, touchpoints are sanitized weekly, and the sanctuary is fogged approx. every ninety days.

Daily Prayer

"...[the angels] said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen.  Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.”  Luke 24:5b-7

Lord, the Risen Savior, we lift our hearts to you.  Your victory over sin, death and the grave is our victory.  Thank you for your redemptive sacrifice and love.  Amen.

Who We Are

Within these walls you will find gospel-based worship services, incorporating traditional liturgy and hymns with sermons that serve to refresh and restore. You will also find a friendly, welcoming and diverse membership. We may come from different walks of life but we all share our faith in Christ, and a desire to  live in his example.

What can I expect?

On any given Sunday, you will find:

  • A relaxed and welcoming atmosphere
  • The word of God shared in a way that relates to the busy lives we all lead.
  • Members that have been worshiping  here their entire lives alongside members who have just recently joined
  • People in freshly pressed suits alongside people in worn-out blue jeans
  • Visitors for the first time

How do we serve the community?

In addition to St. John's food pantry, outreach ministries, and worship services, we also use our space to address needs within our community.  We currently host groups from:

  • AA groups
  • Special Olympics Activities
  • Jubricosa Performances
  • Midtown Neighborhood Association
